A forest fire that erupted on Monday in the “Tghazratine” forest near the town of “Akznaia الجنوبية” in the Taza region of Morocco has been contained. According to Murad As-Saafdi, the regional director of the National Agency for Water and Forests, field intervention teams successfully “surrounded” and “contained” 100% of the blaze. The fire consumed approximately 24 hectares of woodland. Video footage and images confirm the containment of the fire. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the cause of the fire, but efforts are ongoing to fully extinguish any remaining embers and assess the full extent of the damage.
