Prague Zoo welcomed five cheetah cubs on June 18th, marking the first birth of this critically endangered species at the zoo in eight years. The cubs are currently being carefully cared for by their mother in a private area of the zoo. Despite their arrival, the cubs are still in a vulnerable period, and zookeepers are closely monitoring their development. This birth is a significant success for the zoo’s conservation efforts concerning cheetahs. The new arrivals represent a boost for the cheetah population, which faces a high risk of extinction. Visitors will be able to see the cheetah cubs in the second half of August, offering a rare opportunity to witness these beautiful animals.
