A new study reveals that a significant 78% of Filipino workers are currently utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in their jobs. Despite widespread adoption, a critical gap exists in role-specific training for these employees. The research highlights that the majority are using AI without formal instruction tailored to their specific tasks. This lack of training potentially limits the full benefits of AI implementation and could hinder productivity gains. The study underscores a need for businesses to invest in upskilling initiatives to ensure workers can effectively and safely leverage AI technologies. Addressing this skills deficit is crucial for maximizing AI’s potential within the Filipino workforce and maintaining competitiveness.
