A passenger ferry capsized off the coast of Northern Cyprus on Sunday, resulting in at least seven confirmed deaths. The ferry, carrying 267 people, sank to a depth of 514 metres shortly after departing from Kyrenia, headed for Tasucu, Turkey. As of reports, 172 passengers have been rescued, with ongoing efforts to locate any remaining individuals. The cause of the capsize remains unknown, and investigations are underway. Turkish and Northern Cypriot authorities are collaborating in the search and rescue operation, with hospitals prepared to provide medical assistance. Turkish President Erdogan is scheduled to visit Northern Cyprus on Monday in response to the incident.
