Researchers in Liaoning Province, China, have identified a new species of feathered dinosaur dating back approximately 120 million years. The remarkably well-preserved fossil exhibits clear imprints of extensive feathers surrounding the dinosaur’s skeletal structure. This discovery provides further evidence of feather evolution in dinosaurs and sheds light on the diversity of species during the Early Cretaceous period. The newly identified species belongs to the Penraptor group, according to the scientific study. Details of the find were published in the peer-reviewed journal *Vertebrata Palasiatica*. The fossil’s exceptional condition offers valuable insights into the anatomy and plumage of these ancient creatures. This discovery contributes to a growing body of evidence linking dinosaurs to modern birds.
