A father in Cumilla’s Chauddagram died outside the local police station after filing a complaint against his son. The complaint alleged the son physically assaulted him for money to fund a drug habit. The incident occurred at the gate of the Chauddagram police station, and the father reportedly wrote a statement to the Officer-in-Charge before his death. This occurred in Bangpai village, within the Munshirhat Union of the upazila. Authorities confirmed the information on Saturday afternoon. Separately, two student leaders were expelled for posting about Bangabandhu on Facebook, but this is a related, separate incident. Further details are pending investigation.
