Mexican authorities have uncovered a large-scale illegal operation involving both fuel smuggling and wildlife trafficking. During a raid linked to illicit fuel activities, officials discovered 135 exotic animals on the property. The collection included 35 animals identified as endangered species, highlighting a concerning element of the criminal enterprise. Additionally, authorities seized 68,000 liters of illicit diesel fuel, demonstrating the primary focus of the investigation. Firearms were also recovered at the site, suggesting potential armed resistance to law enforcement. This discovery unveils a complex network combining environmental crime with economic offenses.
