Following the conclusion of Giovanni Pietro Barbano’s term as head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Emili Rakhorst has been appointed as acting Mission Chief. The announcement was made by EULEX today, marking a transition in leadership for the organization. Rakhorst will assume the responsibilities of the position immediately. Barbano’s departure concludes his tenure overseeing EULEX’s operations in Kosovo, which focus on strengthening the rule of law.
