The European Union has pledged 12.93 million euros (approximately $36.5 billion Tanzanian shillings) to fund the second phase of the Lake Victoria Water Supply and Sanitation Project (LV WATSAN II). This investment will focus on improving water supply and sanitation services within Mwanza City, Tanzania. The funding addresses growing strain on existing infrastructure due to rapid urban expansion. The project aims to alleviate concerns related to water access and sanitation for Mwanza’s increasing population.
