Architecture students from the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) have completed an installation in Tartu’s Annelinn district, creating a new public relaxation space. The project deliberately evokes the aesthetic of ruins, offering a unique visual experience for residents and visitors. Located in Annelinn, the installation repurposes an existing area into a functional and artistic environment. Students designed and constructed the space, demonstrating practical application of their architectural skills. The installation aims to provide a novel area for community interaction and leisure. The project highlights a creative approach to urban design and public space development within the city of Tartu. It represents a student-led initiative to enhance the local environment.
