Estonia continues to be recognized as possessing one of the world’s leading education systems, as demonstrated by the latest PISA 2025 results from the OECD. Over 760,000 fifteen-year-old students across 91 countries and economies participated in the assessment, which evaluates the application of knowledge to novel problems. Estonian students exceeded the OECD average in science, mathematics, and reading, achieving scores of 527, 508, and 499 respectively. However, Estonia’s reading score has reached its lowest point since the country first participated in PISA. Including non-OECD participants and Chinese jurisdictions, Estonia ranked sixth in science, eighth in mathematics and reading, and seventh in computational problem-solving, scoring 541 in the latter.
