Following recent damaging events, teams from the Hellenic Agricultural Insurance Organization (ELGA) have been dispatched to affected areas of Crete. These teams are currently working to delineate the extent of the damage across the island. ELGA correspondents have already begun accepting damage reports from farmers. This action facilitates the filing of claims for losses incurred due to the recent events impacting agricultural production in Crete. The process aims to expedite compensation for producers impacted by the damage. Producers are encouraged to submit declarations detailing the damages they have sustained. The initial phase focuses on defining the geographical scope of the devastation across Crete.
