Eleven people were killed in Ukraine overnight due to heavy Russian attacks targeting multiple locations. President Zelenskyy described the attacks as deliberately aimed at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, intending to inflict significant damage. Russia launched seventy rockets, including ballistic missiles and Shaheds, with a limited number intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses. Ukraine responded with counterattacks, hitting targets in the regions of Perm, Samara, and Astrakhan, including oil facilities. The attacks caused damage to residential buildings and factories in Kyiv, Pryluky, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, with a five-story apartment building in Pryluky sustaining a direct hit resulting in five deaths and 26 injuries. The Ukrainian air force reported a larger barrage, claiming 130 drones and 53 missiles were launched. Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed a massive attack on facilities, specifically targeting the Ukrainian defense company Fire Point.
