A truck lost eight tons of salmon onto a road in Nærøysund, Trøndelag, Norway on Friday night. The fish were scattered across 150-200 meters of the roadway, according to the Trøndelag police district. The truck driver reported the incident to police around 11 PM local time. Authorities have documented the spill in their police log. The cause of the incident is currently unknown. Cleanup operations are underway to remove the salmon from the road. Traffic may be affected in the area as a result of the substantial spill.
