The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Ltd. has provided scholarships to 16 financially disadvantaged students at Kyambogo University and Makerere University in Uganda. These scholarships will enable the students to finalize their undergraduate degrees. Ten of the scholarships were awarded to students at Kyambogo University, while six went to students at Makerere University. The recipients are all studying either Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science. Selection for the scholarships was based on both academic performance and demonstrated financial need. This initiative by EACOP aims to support promising students in completing their education. The scholarships were announced by The Observer Media Ltd.
