A shelter-in-place order for the village of Overasselt in the Netherlands has been lifted after a night of violence involving a masked armed group. Police responded to reports of a shooting at a farm linked to drug trafficking, resulting in the death of a 51-year-old man from Wijchen, who was reportedly a security guard. The group, arriving in two vans, also opened fire on two police officers, one of whom was critically injured but is now out of danger. A large-scale search involving heightened police presence was conducted throughout the night and early morning, but authorities have found no remaining suspects in or around the village. Residents are still urged to contact authorities immediately if they observe any suspicious activity, while the investigation continues. The mayor described the events as "un-Dutch," highlighting the unusual nature of the violence.
