Workers at FrieslandCampina dairy factories in Leeuwarden and Meppel will strike Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, according to the FNV union. This renewed industrial action follows stalled collective labor agreement (CAO) negotiations with the Dutch Dairy Organisation (NZO). The FNV has been taking action since May, seeking improved terms for its members. The strikes are expected to disrupt production at the affected facilities. The core of the dispute revolves around unresolved issues in the CAO negotiations. Further talks between the union and the employer’s organization have not yet yielded a resolution, prompting the continuation of the work stoppage. The FNV aims to pressure FrieslandCampina and the NZO to return to the negotiating table with a more favorable offer.
