A ship sank and another caught fire following a drone attack off the coast of Bulgaria in the Black Sea, according to Bulgarian President Iotova. The crew of the sunken ship, named Alfa Watan and sailing under the flag of Togo, is currently missing, with the number of people unaccounted for still unknown. Eighteen crew members from the burning ship, named Able and sailing under the flag of Palau, have been rescued, with some hospitalised in Varna, on the east coast of Bulgaria, suffering from burns and injuries. The attack occurred around 3:00 AM local time, approximately 130 kilometers from the Bulgarian coast, within Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone. Bulgarian Prime Minister Radev is holding an emergency meeting with relevant ministries and security services following the incident. The attack follows a fire on a ship near Romania yesterday, resulting in two fatalities, and Ukrainian President Zelensky has accused Russia of attacking a Turkish ship carrying corn.
