A crackdown on corrupt driving test examiners is causing significant delays for applicants seeking licenses. Investigations and subsequent arrests have drastically reduced the number of available examiners in some regions. In Prague-West, for example, the number of examiners has fallen from twelve to just three following recent arrests at the local municipal office. This reduction in personnel is leading to waiting times of several months for the final driving test. The situation is creating hardship for those who have already completed the majority of their training and are eager to obtain their licenses. Authorities have not yet announced plans to rapidly replace the removed examiners, leaving applicants in a state of uncertainty. The investigation continues, with further disruptions possible.
