Drivers traveling to Slovakia near Jablunkov should prepare for significant delays. Extensive repairs are scheduled to begin soon on an eight-kilometer stretch of Road I/68 between the municipality of Hrádek and the state border with Slovakia. While the extension of the highway network through the Jablunkov Pass to the Slovakian border remains under consideration, this immediate work will impact traffic flow. The repairs, costing 157 million Czech crowns, are expected to last until spring of next year. Motorists are advised to factor in extra travel time due to the construction. These improvements aim to maintain the crucial road connecting the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
