A new report by the human rights organization Truth Hounds alleges widespread crimes against humanity committed by Russian forces and collaborators at the Izolyatsiya prison in occupied Donetsk, Ukraine. The report details accounts of torture, including beatings and the use of electric shock, as well as mock executions and sexual violence. Izolyatsiya, according to the findings, served as a site for systematic abuse of civilians. These alleged actions are being characterized as crimes against humanity. The report provides further evidence of potential war crimes committed during the Russian occupation of the Donbas region. Truth Hounds’ investigation aims to document and expose abuses, contributing to future accountability efforts.
