New DNA analysis has bolstered the case against Mamadou Lamine Diaw, known as Modou Lo, in the double murder of Aziz Dabala and Boubacar Gano. The victims were found dead in their Pikine Technopole apartment on August 19, 2024, and six individuals were initially charged with related crimes. While Diaw initially confessed, he later implicated others, including dancer Marème Léye and singer Tarba Mbaye, accusations Mbaye denied and investigations proved him away from the scene. Recent testing by CIGASS, DIC, and the scientific police identified DNA from both victims, Diaw, and an unidentified individual on broken glass, potentially someone who arrived after the crime. Critically, Diaw's blood was found mixed with Gano's in the bathroom, further implicating him and seemingly dismissing claims of a wider conspiracy.
