Police have arrested three more members of an inter-district gang allegedly involved in the theft of 57 *bhori* (approximately 612 grams) of gold in Dhaka’s Wari area. The arrests were made late Friday night during a raid in Kishoreganj. The suspects have been identified as Md. Rubel (38), Mobarak Hossain alias Shawon (30), and Abdullah Al Hasan alias Shakib alias Ajoy (28). According to Deputy Commissioner N.M. Nasiruddin of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Media and Public Relations division, the robbery occurred on the night of May 27th in Nawabpur, Wari. This brings the total number of arrests related to the gold heist to an undisclosed number, as previous arrests had already been made. Authorities continue to investigate the case and pursue remaining members of the criminal network. The recovered gold is expected to be presented as evidence.
