A death row inmate who escaped from Kashimpur Central Prison in Gazipur, Bangladesh, has been arrested by RAB-11. Tareq Rahman, the escaped prisoner, was apprehended on Saturday afternoon in the Batakandi market area of Titas Upazila, Cumilla. The arrest was made following his escape on August 24th. A press conference was held at the RAB-11 office in Shaktala, Cumilla, later that afternoon to detail the capture. Authorities have not released further information regarding the circumstances of the escape or the ongoing investigation. During the conference, a BNP leader reportedly made threatening statements, suggesting harsh treatment for anyone speaking about Rahman. The suspect is now in RAB-11 custody.
