Interest in via ferrata climbing routes in the Czech Republic is experiencing a significant surge, according to route managers. These secured climbing paths are now attracting not only individual climbers and experienced mountaineers but also larger groups, including those participating in summer camps. Equipment rental businesses are responding to the increased demand by expanding their offerings and purchasing additional gear. Over the past year, more than five new via ferrata routes have been established within the country, showcasing the growing trend. The addition includes the first-of-its-kind mining via ferrata located near Jílové u Prahy. This rising popularity signals a boost for adventure tourism within the Czech Republic.
