A Czech student, Vojtěch Myslík, fulfilled his dream of visiting Georgia with a friend, Štěpán, during their gap year after graduating. The pair embarked on a two-week journey through nearly the entire country of Georgia, relying solely on hitchhiking. Surprisingly, they continued their adventure by hitchhiking all the way back to the Czech Republic, despite family concerns. Myslík shared his experiences on the “Slepá mapa” podcast, detailing both memorable and unsettling encounters with various drivers. While the trip was largely positive, he admits some rides were far from ideal and he wouldn’t repeat them. The podcast episode reveals the most extreme moments from their trek across the Caucasus and into Central Europe.
