Czech Finance Minister Alena Schillerová defended the government’s proposed revenue recording system (EET) before the Senate. Following a meeting of the Committee on Economy, Agriculture and Transport, she expressed satisfaction that the Senate did not reject the proposal outright. Instead, senators proposed an amendment they believe will improve the system. The amendment concerns the tax exemption limit for health benefits associated with EET. While the Senate considered canceling parts of the system, they ultimately opted for a modifying suggestion rather than outright rejection, signaling continued support for the EET implementation. The government, comprised of ANO, SPD, and Motoristů sobě, initially proposed the EET.
