The Czech Republic is deploying consular assistance to the United States and Mexico ahead of the FIFA World Cup, which begins Thursday and features the Czech national team’s participation starting Friday. Thousands of Czech fans are expected to attend matches hosted across the three North American countries: Mexico, the US, and Canada. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is urging fans to register with the “Drozd” travel system to facilitate communication and assistance in case of emergencies. Consular support is being sent to the Czech embassies in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, and Czech consuls will be present in Guadalajara and Mexico City, in addition to Los Angeles. This proactive measure aims to provide timely warnings, recommendations, and solutions to Czech citizens should any unforeseen issues arise during their travels. The Ministry emphasizes its ability to respond effectively to support its citizens abroad.
