A two-day conference focused on the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine will begin Thursday in Gdańsk, Poland. The Ukrainian delegation will be led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, due to a recent dispute between Warsaw and Kyiv preventing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s attendance. The event is expected to draw dozens of heads of state and government, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Representing the Czech Republic will be former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Minister for Regional Development Zuzana Mrázová. The conference aims to discuss and coordinate international efforts for Ukraine’s recovery. The change in Ukrainian leadership reflects ongoing tensions with Poland regarding grain imports. Discussions will likely center on financial aid, infrastructure development, and long-term economic support for Ukraine.
