Czech security forces are warning of a growing trend of online radical communities inspiring violence and religious extremism. These groups, primarily found on social media, have been increasingly monitored by police and intelligence services, with a notable rise in activity reported last year. A key concern is the young age of those being radicalized, often under 18, and sometimes even younger than 15. Authorities report individuals within these communities are actively planning attacks. The groups demonstrate fascination with violence and extremist ideologies, posing a significant threat to national security. This is the first time such widespread activity has been observed in the Czech Republic. The situation prompts increased vigilance and preventative measures to counter the spread of radicalization among vulnerable youth.
