The Czech Chamber of Deputies has once again approved a bill restricting the president’s authority to appoint and dismiss heads of permanent missions to international organizations. The decision came after the Chamber overruled a Senate veto with 104 votes to 173, as the Senate argued the change unconstitutionally infringes on the president's powers. This amendment is part of a broader set of regulations linked to a controversial law concerning state officials. The bill now proceeds to President Petr Pavel for his signature.
