Czech Culture Minister Oto Klempíř has initiated a re-evaluation of the protected status of the Napajedli Stud Farm in the Zlín Region. The move challenges a previous decision by former Minister Martin Baxa, which would have limited protection to the main buildings, excluding the stables. Klempíř intends for the entire complex to be reassessed for its historical significance. The stud farm, once renowned for breeding English thoroughbreds, ceased operations in 2023 due to financial difficulties. A petition advocating for the farm’s preservation has garnered tens of thousands of signatures, highlighting public concern over its future. The outcome of the review will determine the level of preservation efforts applied to the site.
