The Czech Republic’s minimum wage is set to increase by 2,500 Czech koruna in January, reaching 24,900 CZK gross per month. This calculation is based on a new macroeconomic forecast from the Ministry of Finance, as determined by Czech Television. The new minimum wage will represent 44.5% of the average wage, the highest percentage on record for the country. This increase signifies a substantial rise in the lowest permissible earnings for an eight-hour workday. Labor and Social Affairs Minister Aleš Juchelka will officially announce the 2027 minimum wage figure to union representatives on Monday. The change reflects an effort to improve the financial well-being of lower-income workers within the Czech economy.
