Six months after taking office, the Czech government led by Andrej Babiš faced critical discussion on the “Události, komentářů” program regarding proposed policy changes. Key topics included planned alterations to the funding of public media outlets and a new conflict of interest law for politicians. While ANO party leader Taťána Malá assured that public media funding would be secured in the state budget, opposition figures strongly disagreed. Michaela Šebelová of STAN criticized the proposed funding changes as an attempt to weaken public media, reverting funding levels to 2008. Participants from SPD, the Pirate Party, ODS, and the Minister for Sport also contributed to the debate, covering the upcoming state budget and security policy. The discussion was moderated by Lukáš Dolanský and highlighted deep divisions over the government’s direction.
