The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic has cancelled a contract for 185 armoured all-terrain vehicles, valued at 24.7 billion Koruna. The cancellation, as indicated in the public procurement register, is attributed to economic reasons. News servers Aktuálně.cz and Ekonomický deník first reported the termination of the deal. These vehicles were primarily intended for use as ambulances, engineering, pyrotechnic, and reconnaissance vehicles. The Ministry’s decision halts the acquisition of specialized vehicles intended to enhance the capabilities of the Czech armed forces. Further details regarding the economic factors driving the cancellation have not yet been released. This represents a significant shift in the Czech Republic’s planned military vehicle procurement.
