Radun Castle in the Czech Republic has launched a new exhibit detailing the five-year African journey of Count Gebhard Blücher in the late 19th century. The immersive experience, titled “Memories of Africa,” showcases a unique collection amassed by the Count during his travels. Visitors will encounter exhibits recreating aspects of his expedition, from opulent steamship travel to the realities of a hunting camp. The display features artifacts, visual effects, and soundscapes designed to transport guests to the era. While the Count did not return wealthy, he brought back a remarkable collection now open to the public. The exhibit aims to provide a glimpse into the life of a 19th-century gentleman explorer and his African adventure.
