A Ukrainian seismologist, Dmytro Hryn, asserts the Crimean Bridge is vulnerable not only to Ukrainian attacks but also to recurring earthquakes in the region. The bridge’s foundation is reportedly unstable, and these tremors are causing irreversible damage to its structure. On June 22nd alone, six earthquakes were detected on the Crimean Peninsula, with the strongest registering a magnitude of 4.5. Experts suggest the natural seismic activity poses a significant and growing threat to the bridge’s long-term integrity. This adds another layer of risk to the strategically important crossing, alongside ongoing military actions. The repeated tremors are accelerating potential structural failure, according to the seismologist’s assessment.
