Argentine driver Franco Colapinto, competing with Alpine, is preparing for the second practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. Following a five-position grid penalty in Baku, Colapinto has received another sanction of 10 places due to an internal combustion engine (ICE) change. This new penalty will force him to start the race from the very back of the grid at the Sepang International Circuit. This marks Colapinto’s debut at the Malaysian track, overshadowed by the accumulating penalties. The repeated setbacks hamper his chances in the Bahrain Grand Prix. Alpine is evaluating options to mitigate the impact of the penalties moving forward.
