Over 160 Czech travelers found themselves in shocking conditions after a technical malfunction grounded their Electra Airways flight from the Greek island of Kos to Ostrava. Passengers were left waiting for over 39 hours for a replacement flight and were moved to emergency accommodation arranged by the travel agency Čedok. However, the hotel provided was reportedly in a deeply unsanitary state. Clients describe finding mold, a musty odor, and even cockroaches falling from the air conditioning units, as well as insects in the beds and general dirtiness. The unexpected and unpleasant lodging has added insult to injury for those already inconvenienced by the significant flight delay. Čedok has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the conditions of the hotel.
