Bangladesh’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has cautioned 600 students of Dhaka’s Viquarunnisa Noon School & College about the dangers of online bullying, cyber harassment, and digital misconduct. The “Cyber Awareness Enhancement Program,” held on Thursday, June 11th, was a collaborative effort between the CID’s Cyber Police Centre (CPC) and bKash Limited. The program aimed to educate students on recognizing and avoiding various forms of cybercrime. Officials emphasized the growing prevalence of digital fraud and its potential impact on young people. Students were provided with information on safe online practices and reporting mechanisms for cyber offenses. This initiative reflects a broader effort by Bangladeshi law enforcement to address increasing cybercrime rates and protect vulnerable populations. The program sought to empower students with the knowledge to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
