Emergency services responded to reports of a child drowning in a pond near Blatná, in the Strakonice region, on Wednesday afternoon. Preliminary police investigations indicate the child fell from a paddleboard while in the water. Paramedics performed resuscitation at the scene for an extended period before transporting the child via helicopter to a hospital in České Budějovice. The extent of the child’s injuries is currently unknown. Police are investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the fall. The rescue operation involved both ground and air ambulance services.
