A verdict is expected Wednesday in Chattogram regarding the highly publicized case of a four-year-old girl’s rape in the Bakolia area. Arguments concluded Tuesday in the Chattogram Metropolitan Children's Violence Suppression Tribunal, eight days after the trial began. Judge Sayeda Hafsa Jhuma set the date for the verdict. The sole defendant, Monir Hossain, age 30, was present in court. Hossain is a resident of the Gharghata area of Muradnagar Upazila in Cumilla.
