The Central African Deposit Guarantee Fund (FOGADAC) reported strong financial performance in the first half of 2026, with an intervention reserve reaching 345.8 billion FCFA. Its investment portfolio stands at 207 billion FCFA, generating 8.38 billion FCFA in financial revenue. These results support FOGADAC’s strategic goal of reaching 1,000 billion FCFA in resources by 2036. During a July 17th meeting in Brazzaville, the management committee adopted reforms to improve the institution's governance, including establishing an investment committee. A new signature delegation system was also implemented to bolster financial operation security. FOGADAC is actively recruiting senior personnel including a Risk Manager and IT Manager and updating employee statutes. New appointments were made to the permanent secretary positions, signaling a commitment to solidifying FOGADAC’s role as a guarantor of regional financial stability.
