The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is seeking a third-party forensic audit for the Islamabad High Court’s Legal Facilitation Centre. This demand follows serious concerns over financial transparency and execution quality, echoing flaws found in the main IHC building. The project's cost has surged from an original agreement of Rs1.446 billion to over Rs2.07 billion. Specifically, the CDA is questioning excess quantity statements totaling Rs492 million. To ensure accountability, the CDA has requested the appointment of an independent auditor, suggesting NESPAK for the task. The project was transferred to the CDA from the Pakistan Public Works Department in August 2024. Additionally, the contractor involved has previously faced scrutiny regarding the legitimacy of their credentials.
