The Mongolian Ministry of Health is warning consumers not to purchase or consume “Carrefour Classic” brand salted, fried peanuts with batch number 2/26103/1. This follows a notification from the European Union’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) indicating the presence of aflatoxin B1 levels exceeding permissible limits in products manufactured in France. A recall is currently underway for the affected batch. Consumers who have already purchased the peanuts are advised not to consume them and to return them to the point of purchase. Aflatoxin B1 is a toxic substance that can negatively impact human health. Authorities urge consumers to carefully check product names, brands, and batch numbers before consumption.
