Caracas’s Metro system will begin rehabilitation work on Line 2 next Monday, June 22nd. Service between the Caricuao and Zoológico stations will be suspended for approximately seven weeks. Authorities are implementing a contingency plan utilizing Metrobús units to transport passengers to Antímano as an alternative route. The repairs aim to improve the infrastructure and functionality of the heavily used Line 2. This temporary closure is expected to cause significant disruption for commuters relying on this section of the metro. The project’s completion date is currently projected to be around August, though this is subject to change. Further details regarding the contingency route and schedule will be released by the transport authorities.
