Vietnam currently lacks specialized and standardized nutritional solutions for patients undergoing treatment for cancer and diabetes. Despite the recognized importance of nutrition in both treatment efficacy and patient recovery, a dedicated approach is missing within the healthcare system. This gap leaves patients without tailored dietary guidance crucial for managing their conditions and improving outcomes. Experts emphasize that proper nutrition is not merely supplemental, but integral to the overall care plan. The absence of standardized protocols creates inconsistencies in patient care across different facilities. Addressing this deficiency is seen as vital for enhancing the quality of life and survival rates for individuals battling these chronic illnesses. Further development and implementation of nutritional guidelines are needed to fill this critical void.
