The new law eliminates fees previously applied to vehicles towing camping trailers or utility trailers. Previously, the fee was determined by the combined weight of the vehicle and trailer. The updated regulation bases the fee solely on the weight of the towing vehicle itself, offering potential savings for many travelers. The change is expected to particularly benefit those planning vacations involving camping or transporting goods privately. The law aims to simplify regulations and reduce financial burdens on recreational vehicle users. It is anticipated to take effect during this year’s holiday season.
