Hiram Samuel Iyodi, president of the Patriotic Movement for the Prosperity of the People (MP3), has completed a five-day tour of Cameroon’s northern regions – Far North, North, and Adamawa. The tour, which began on August 13th, aimed to deepen the party’s roots and understand the concerns of local populations. Iyodi and his team engaged with residents in cities like Maroua, Garoua, and Ngaoundere, discussing local realities and promoting the MP3’s platform. A symbolic tree-planting initiative was undertaken to address concerns about increased heat in the region. The party also focused on strengthening its organizational structure by installing departmental coordinators across several districts. The tour signifies the MP3’s efforts to expand its presence and attract new members ahead of the 2025 presidential election. This regional outreach is a key component of Iyodi’s strategy since becoming national president.
