He contends that the only solution is to shift the majority in the National Assembly, currently dominated by the ruling party. The existing parliamentary makeup, with a significant majority held by the RDPC, prevents the opposition from challenging the government or enacting legislative changes. Libii is leveraging public debate surrounding the president’s frequent travels to mobilize voters. He believes a change in the Assembly’s composition will empower the opposition to introduce laws clarifying presidential absence regulations and holding the executive accountable. He stresses mass voter registration is the essential first phase toward achieving this political shift by 2027.
